Facility Description:
Medical City Dallas Hospital is a large, comprehensive healthcare campus located in the heart of North Dallas. The hospital spans over 1.5 million square feet and is part of the broader Medical City Healthcare system. The campus includes a wide range of specialized facilities, including a Level I Trauma Center, a comprehensive Cancer Center, a state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Center, and specialized centers for women’s health, pediatrics, and transplant services. The hospital is supported by multiple central plants, ensuring efficient climate control and energy management across the extensive campus. Timberlake & Dickson Scope:
The scope of work included furnishing replacement cooling towers for a portion of the campus, which included assessing the existing towers, selecting and procuring new, energy-efficient units, and ensuring careful removal of the old towers. The project involved installing the new cooling towers on existing supports, connecting them to the existing system, and ensuring proper function. Additionally, the project included training facility staff on operation and maintenance, providing all necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth handover, all aimed at enhancing the facility’s HVAC efficiency and reliability.
